Hi, does anyone know how to remove the outer CV joint? Haynes says to pry out one arm of the star retainer, and the shaft should come out. But it doesn't come out.
You can see one of the arms is pried out.

Thank you, that's a very good guide. Unfortunately there is no dismantling of the CV joint. Only instruction of how to remove the driveshaft and replace it with a new one.
